Whitemane servers are nothing more than a fad. They launch with decent numbers because of the custom QoL features but slowly bleed pop over several months because the scripting shows its quality. They tend to bandaid fix literally every problem instead of addressing bugs and just let players skip everything that doesn’t work. Their Cataclysm servers felt like playing a 2010 fun-server. Leveling to max with BG’s in a few years because the leveling zones past 60 were a hot mess. I’m not playing Warmane anymore nor am I interested in Wrath these days, but there’s a reason why they have stayed consistent over the years while all other projects come and go.

You're reacting to some dude who has gold selling on his agenda, that's why he's diminishing Warmane's name (not that I like it myself I totally hate Warmane). Fishbro and his guild they were nothing but scammers and ninjas, therefore later on, their name was tainted by everyone on Icecrown horde. On a daily basis people were exposing them and sabotaging their semi-gruns. Their special and typical move was the moment the raid got full, in front of marrowgar, the raid rules were "Only guildies can roll\bid heroic marks". So you see the result of this after some of their scam raids. That dude is a scumbag. Lame lowlife earth's scum. Don't even give him antenna time.

A bit late but from my perspective (raiding endgame for almost 5 yrs now) its an issue of involvement. The average player has very low involvement on how to play effectively. Most games these days are easy, you dont have to spend time learning how to optimize your class, how to optmize your ui, how to do specific mechanics, how other classes influence raid comps and play. So you get a bunch of 5.5k gs's (overgeared btw) into ICC 10nm and not even the leader knows what he is doing so they clear up to pp, go vdw and RO (in 3 hrs mind you). I'm in several guilds, and in some of them I would consider "Casual", we accept these low involvement players and we have to hold their hand through everything I mentioned before. They lack the initiative. The warmane community heavily relies (imo) from older more knowledgeable players to explain how to play the game (most of the time in front of the boss before a pull). It gets really tiresome, most dont even engage. Older players have little to no interest in helping the "plebz" out. They put in the work, why would they have to put in work for them? Which is why 95% of endgame players have the Elitist Jerk mentality (and I totally get them too btw). Information on how to play is also available, but where? on discords, ugly ass forum posts, with no real data sometimes or plain wrong information. I would say most warmane players learn from "mouth to mouth". Classic era did make this better in some aspects, but not entirely. I know your(funky) perspective on how warmane has ez content but its really not to these people. WoW really requires a lot of skills to be honed over several hours to play at a high level, and even if you have gone through this time investment you still have to rely on other people to pull a raid together (you cant solo carry even if you tell everyone what to do). There is just too many complete newbies beginning to play wow in this day and age, and older players are quitting. This is why bane and rs10hc are far away from what most warmane players will ever achieve. So tldr its just gamer culture decline, games are too ez nowadays, players get stuck doing 6/12 nm clears (no progression, no incentive to keep going), games are too straightforward, massive/popular games have very easily accesible information.

From what I remember from my time playing, Cata servers were fairly popular back when Twinstar was doing Apollo servers. Twinstar scripting is usually pretty good (in my experience) That being said, Twinstar dipped their toes into Mists of Pandaria, it flopped and Whitemane took over the scene and gained popularity for their focus on quality of life and non-Blizzlike. They gained popularity because medium sized streamers promoted them but in hindsight, even the shill streamers knew how buggy they were.

Haven't got time to watch or respond recently. After T7 launch on Whitemane's Frostmourne I'm fairly disappointed and it seems like Radeghost and/or Whitemane's staff in general seem to like Classic's model. T7 is way too easy now with things like Sapphiron having only 26 million HP and they've recently asked the community if they want GDKP to become allowed. The fact they even ask this question speaks volumes what kind of values they have. You're probably right in faking the count but the way Census works is it searches people by level brackets and races so you'd have to add some fake players in /who list or literal bots to cheat on this AddOn. Census scan will never be 100% accurate because it takes few minutes to complete the scan and during that time you will have some people log in or off. The scans usually are 95% accurate though. Kaer didn't really admit they are BLATANTLY faking the online numbers. He said something about the calculation not being 100% accurate and there is no big difference between 24k and 30k players online what is true but there is a BIG difference between 15k and 30k players what is much closer to reality than his "24k" he pulled out of his butt. Yea, the video I linked is 11 years old at this point but you really think if they did that on Molten they've stopped doing it on Warmane? That number Whitemane has on their website is some unique site visits or unique player log-ins from EVERY time zone what has nothing to do with ONLINE and they're not claiming it's their online numbers. You can't really objectively judge whether or not server is packed by looking at the amount of players in Dalaran, especially when you compare fresh servers to something like Icecrown. Icerown is FULLY progressed server with people having nothing to do except scratching their balls in Dalaran while waiting for the raid while on fresh servers you have plenty of people out in the world still skilling professions, questing, farming, etc. Back in the day I've opened threads about online on Warmane forums and all of them got INSTANTLY deleted and they weren't even put in the trash bin or something where people could see them (it's like they never existed) and got warnings for simply bringing it up. I'm not sure what you're talking about here, suggesting that Warmane fakes their online is absolutely not allowed on their forums and you can easily get warned or banned for it. If I'm wrong then go make a thread like that on their forums or link me such thread that is still up and not removed. I know that Sunwell Core is pretty much modifed Trinity Core which is base for EVERY private server. Of course it had its own issues but not sure how you can say that Warmane was/is miles better than it cause when I last played on this core (about 3-4 years ago) it wasn't really worse than Warmane at all. How am I in a minority for wanting something fresh instead of repeating exactly the same raid all the time for YEARS? It's actually majority of people who want more fresh experience. Retail players keep getting new raid content every few months. Classic players moved on from Vanilla all the way to Cata and TBC+WotLK aren't even supported anymore. If majority of people enjoy farming ICC only for years then why WotLK isn't supported by Blizzard anymore? There even recently been a movement with a lot of players and streamers asking Blizzard for FRESH Vanilla servers because economy of current servers is pretty much ruined and everyone has fully progressed characters. In what reality Icecrown players are in majority if you consider ALL of other private servers, ALL of Classic and ALL of retail? If those fresh servers have no "staying power" because they died off after like 2-3 years then I guess it's exactly the same with Classic servers because most of era servers are dead. You're telling me that Blizzard's servers have less "staying power" than Warmane's Icecrown? The ONLY reason Icecrown is still alive after all these years is because people spent a lot of time and money on characters there so they got attached to them + Warmane lies about online so the server seems more alive than it really is. Even Warmane launches fresh servers like Frostmourne or Onyxia what should tell you it's a profitable model. Of course most private servers are launched for money, never claimed otherwise. The only differences between Warmane and other servers are that servers like Whitemane don't really have boss items in the shop (EDIT. No longer true -- Whitemane added boss items to the shop recently) and they don't fake online numbers to nearly the same extent. Most servers sell only cosmetic stuff and various services through their shops while Warmane goes all the way with it and if you don't mind it it's fine but I personally dislike this and so do many other people. You think you're the only one that played this game and its private servers for years? I remember playing on servers like Burning-WoW, WoW Scape or RWOW with Blizzard shutting them down. If you don't know any of these names you can't call yourself the elder when it comes to private servers. From what I've seen 90% of your private server playtime is Warmane so you don't really know much about other servers outside of rumors you hear from other people. So what the scripts aren't and won't ever be 1:1 to how it was on retail WotLK in 2010? The experience won't be the same for MULTITUDE of other reasons like people being WAY better at the game or having WAY better PCs and internets than back then. For example back then people had no clue about things like Spellhancer shaman spec or hunter melee-weaving. I'd argue that "blizzlike" died long time ago and private servers should look at different venues of making their servers better and that includes SOME custom changes that have nothing to do with 2010 retail WotLK. No one sane would mind changes like nerfing warrior's damage (in PvP).

If people complain about warmane selling gear from previous tier, just remember that other servers sell gear under the table for cash. For example, Turtle wow fiasko with land whales making cheap buck off of loot crazed boomers.

Fluffy's server is actually Sunwell as far as I recall. After Sunwell shutted down, they gave him access to the database and he fixed the issues with it. Yeah, the Fluffy's server that never got released :D.

well i can see warmane goes from 3.3.5 to 3.4.3 since there is a few quality of life changes like the new currency from dungeons that you can use to buy toc25 items, cross realm dungeons , boosted ilvl from ulduar will help a bit (maybe people will actually host more ulduar runs even tho i know that there is some discord server that are created for that reason currently and they host ulduar runs weekly) implementation of trap launcher: explosive trap will actually open up more people playing survival in pve(which you can do now but still doesn't feel great) that even can happen with the launch of a new progressive realm so people who enjoys the chase of realm 1st can play there and eventually when its fully progressed merge with icecrown or leave it as it is so you can have 3 realms to choose and play on top of that players get access to more modern versions of addons ,there is ton of guides from actual decent players that are gonna be more accurate guilds since the confusion that some warmane streamers (we all know who they are) are spreading its understatement to say disgusting ,and obviously access to logs from classic from thing that i heard there is a 3.4.3 private server that's under development if the scripts are good that can only benefits players since competition is always good

I played on whitemanes cata for a while, tbh community is toxic as shit, and the staff are just tyrant's, no matter what, no matter right or wrong, once a GM doesn't like what you said your getting kicked or banned which sucks ass, as for scripting , i can tell you it's pretty solid , i mean they had shit load of bugs on each patch lunchtime but they got over n fixed it up. Right now? The population is small asf and they are kinda faking it , go there once n you will see by your self. Personally if i see a warmane cata , i would just go there , not that warmane is the best , but atleast i know what to expect from my self n the staff in there. And i know the p2w is equal unlike what Whitemane offers

I feel bad about this whole situation, I really enjoyed watching him for years and honestly you can see he’s just super passionate about warmane but has been offsided by certain parts of the community and now he’s declared war against the server. Hopefully he’ll be back one day with a fresh mindset, warmane needs more content creators - but not people milking the whole “warmane is dying” for views.

Fish seems really dumb, never heared of this guy befor but in this video you are biased and wrong yourself Funky. First of all you're completely wrong in saying that all private servers fake their online numbers, actually most of them DON'T do that nowadays and you can very easily verify it by using Census AddOn. I wonder why this Addon doesn't work on Warmane. Coincidence? Warmane broke their /who list on purpose by adding some weird delay between /who searches so Census doesn't work properly and it's the ONLY private server I can think of that ever had this problem. These days Warmane is pretty much the only private server (when it comes to known ones) that fakes their online. There was known (and at this point very old) video going around made by OLD Sunwell admin - Xinef in which he proves just how scummy Molten/Warmane is (watch?v=DaD8JNy56zw) and because of this video they broke their /who list and talking about online is taboo on Warmane's forums. Every post mentioning online numbers gets removed and you can easily get banned for bringing it up. This is the ONLY private server that does that. When WotLK Classic released their fake online numbers didn't even move at all while all other servers were hurt by it. When it comes to this Whitemane's new realm I'm not sure how you can say so fast that it's buggy when the server is out for a week and T7 is not even out. There were some bugs that weren't there on Angrathar or Frosthold and they all run on Sunwell Core (what is weird) but nothing too crazy so far. We can only judge it when T7 or even T8 is out, befor that it's unfair to judge anything. It's a common misconception that Warmane has all-around best scripts that is repeated all the time for some reason. Back when Angrathar or Frosthold were around they weren't worse than Warmane in terms of scripting in any way EXCEPT some class mechanics. I remember when I played Warmane first year of Lordaeron and it was an absolute mess of a server with plenty of things broken and the staff kept postponing the release of next content all the time to give themselves more time to fix the bugs so acting like Warmane is good quality is kind of laughable. You can't compare new Wrath private server releases to something like Warmane's Icerown and say shit like "Look, Icecrown is up for years while other servers died off so that proves Icecrown is good and other servers were bad". Those servers were PROGRESSIVE in nature so after 2-3 years their death was INEVITABLE while Icerown is some weird clown fiesta of farming same ICC raid for years as full BiS characters what isn't interesting nor challenging to any sane human being. Just because progressive realm eventually dies off and eventually new server appears that doesn't mean it was absolute garbage if it was up for 2-3 years. Most players actually look forward to "F R E S H" experience on a brand new realm instead of farming ICC 5 days a week on 5 different full BiS characters. Iceclown appeals to COMPLETELY different demography. Adding some custom stuff isn't something entirely new and more and more servers start to do that because if it's done smart it's actually a good addition. I don't see an issue in giving sub-par specs some legendary weapon so they deal a bit more DPS. Ascension WoW is completely different game and not really WoW anymore so you can't compare adding some minute custom stuff to something that's a different game.

Everyone but Fishbro knows that Whitemane servers are notorious for having excessive bugs and bad scripting. On their Cataclysm realms, they mail you a free 60-80 boost with gear when you ding 60. That should tell you everything you need to know.

I got one simple question for this one. does this swap the npc's models to the newer Legion models aswell, since i have used the WoD models before on a 3.3.5a self private server me and a friend use for movies, we want Npc's to look like the newer too.

I just realised this week that horde hpals aren't hit capped. Alliance hpals usually have heroic presence in their group because of the rsham. But why aren't horde hpals gemming hit or using different items with hit rating? My only theory rn is that the stat prio could be haste>hit cap>crit but i doubt it, since missing a judgement can't be devastating
